Sunday, March 10: Literacy Volunteers Irene von Hoffmann will host Meredith Eaton of Literacy Volunteers who help people further their skills in reading, writing and speaking English.
Sunday, March 17: Hospice Care Judy Tredwell will present opportunities to volunteer in Hospice Care which helps those facing a life-limiting illness to live all the days of their lives with comfort and dignity.
Sunday, March 24: Orono/Old Town Kiwanis Paul Harris will host a presentation on opportunities to work in the Orono/Old Town Kiwanis, a 70-year-old organization which continues its dedication to our community with service and fundraising projects.
Sunday, March 31: Our Children’s Trust Connie Carter will present Our Children’s Trust, an organization working on the state, national, global and grassroots levels to secure the legal rights to a safe climate and a healthy atmosphere for present and future generations.
Sunday, April 7: Food and Medicine Will Hunter will host Food AND Medicine, a regional non-profit that organizes working class and low-income people to address the root causes of poverty. It is based on the moral value that people should not have to choose between food, medicine and other basic necessities.
Sunday, April 14: Orono Health Association Judy Whitney and Debe Averill will present the Orono Health Association, a non-profit supporting the health and welfare needs of the Orono community with good used clothing, household goods and medical equipment.
