May 13: Tex Sample: “Brother Joe and the Blood” Romans 8: 31-39. Tex suggests that the idea of Christ’s substitutionary atonement (“Jesus died for our sins”) is not the most compelling view of the church or the one most faithful to the New Testament.
May 20: Tex Sample: “Bull Dog” Acts 2: 1-13. Tex describes a bonding experience at an athletic event. How is this like the experience of Pentecost? How does the church create bonds in us through the power of gathering?
