Movie Night, Monday, April 23, 7:30 pm (note different time and day!)

A MONDAY Night Movie!  Monday, April 23 at 7:30pm in the MacKenzie Room Come ‘step into the quiet’ for a meditative experience!  With unprecedented access, this film takes us deep inside the world-famous monastery of Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh.  The film captures the life of a monastic community whose participants have given up all their possessions for one common purpose – to practice the art of mindfulness.  Filmed over three years, this visceral film is a meditation on a community determined to develop a deep sense of presence, not just for themselves but for all those they love.  All are welcome!

Next Sunday, April 22

Euphony in Worship Don’t miss this! CUF will again welcome its “artists in residence” in worship with us. Suggested donation of $10.  All students are free.)
#12:10  SACRED   MacKenzie Room  Filmed around the world, this movie was nominated for Best Documentary in both the Cleveland International Film Festival 2017 and the RiverRun International Film Festival 2017.  The film is recognized as a magnificent portrayal of faith as primary human experience.  Join us for this beautiful depiction of worship in so many different faiths. (This is our second, more complete showing of this film.)
Intergenerational Earth Day Clean-up RIGHT AFTER CHURCH!  Bring your shovels, trowels, rakes, clippers and especially your push brooms (we are always short on push brooms!) and join in the fun.  Together we will clean up the CUF yard and sing some blessings to our trees and plants.    People of ALL ages welcome! (Rain date: Sunday April 29th)
