Altar parament

The beautiful parament cross on the pulpit is comprised of 2” squares of fabric outlined with a narrow blue border that matches the blue above the cross on the east wall of the chancel. The cross was created to symbolize our congregational diversity. Each 2” square was taken from a swatch of fabric donated by individual households during our 2001 Advent celebration of “Cloth for the Cradle”. It is a reminder that each of us in our uniqueness contributes a necessary piece in the gathering together in the love of truth and in the spirit of Jesus to worship and serve. The parament was made with the talents of Sally Irons, Nydda Lowery, Ruth Reed, Rebecca St. Claire, and Judy Whitney
