Dacie update

Dear all,

I wanted to update you on my progress going into the Boston Marathon on Monday (April 21). Thanks to your amazing support, my fundraising for cancer research at Dana-Farber has been a huge success: I passed my $10,000 goal this week!! It has truly been a wonderful experience sharing stories with all of you.

My training has also gone great; I ran 21 miles a couple weekends ago and am feeling prepared for my first 26.2! If you would like to follow me on Monday, I’m in wave 3 (Bib #26479) of 4 waves, so I start the race at 11:00 am. I will hopefully be running a 7:50-8:00 minute mile pace. :)  You can sign up for the AT&T athlete alert (with my bib number) here (http://www.baa.org/races/boston-marathon/participant-information/att-athlete-alert.aspx ). This allows you to receive text or email updates at my 10K, half- marathon , 30K, and finish line crossings if you want! Note: ” Registration through the B.A.A. website will close on Sunday, April 20, at 6:00pm. However, AT&T is pleased to announce that registration via mobile phone text messaging (for US mobile phones only) will remain open during the marathon. “

Thank you again! I am very grateful for your support in this endeavor and am really excited for race day!
